Crafted by Imperial Glass Company, a major American glassmaker based in Ohio (founded 1904), this vibrant, marigold-colored carnival glass atop a Depression-era pressed glass honeycomb saucer combination is nothing short of jaw-dropping. The shimmery, oil-slick rainbow finish was created by spraying metallic salts onto hot glass and symmetrical designs were stamped to generate additional dimensions and catch strong shine. The iridescent orange-gold/copper sheen was originally titled "rubigold" and gives the illusion of a warm sunset. Unlimited texture, appeal, and history align to offer birds an invitation to enjoy their food in this piece aged over a century.
